This is the start of our little adventure in the kitchen with a new cookbook we received for Christmas (and by we, I mean Jamie!LOL) from my Father who happens to be a Chef!
If this sounds like Julie and Julia, that is because it does sound like it (I do an excellent Julia impersonation!LOL) but is totally different in that I actually am blogging/bragging about someone else's cooking!!!
My Fiance, Jamie, watches the Food Network like some people watch soaps!! We are going to be doing recipes from Chef Michael Smith's cookbook and if we can find the time to be creative with meals with two beautiful, small girls and a crazy work life - anyone can!!!
We are going to start on our own time once the Holiday Season ends, but I will sart with saying that we had a fabulous Christmas supper complete with a homemade carrot cake with homemade icing which was my contribution...Jamie did everything else!!
I am very lucky that my Fiance loves to cook and I think he's pretty lucky that I love to bake....Oh Yeah, it's not about me is it?LOL
Maybe this will help anyone out there who has trouble planning meals or just difficulty in finding something new and exciting to try..... Happy cooking from our kitchen to yours!!
